IBM Maximo Asset Management Upgrade  Project

After 10 months of continuous effort of Prozone/KNPC team, execution of Maximo 7.5 rollout procedure has begun at Kuwait National Petrochemical Company Head Office. Rollout procedure prepared during the Upgrade project is a state of the art approach on how to rollout new system with minimal impact on users and codependent systems. Combining techniques of partial and full data migration along with automated and well documented steps, Prozone has managed to execute rollout in a very short time considering sheer size of the system (database size 140 GB, 350 GB of attached documents, 5.000 users and 12 different systems integrated with Maximo). After rollout was finished, users were able to continue there old Maximo 6 workflows in new Maximo 7.5 system without any disruption in there day to day work.     Along with upgraded Maximo system, Prozone has delivered many new features like:

  • Real-time project and expense budget checking combining data available in Maximo and Oracle Financials
  • Primavera integration
  • Application for Plant Modification Request
  • Automated calculation of estimated prices on RFQs
  • Fully automated Cataloging functionality for creating and updating Items information accross the entire system
  • Improved workflow delegation system
  • New consignment contracts handling procedure

List of achievements of this ambitious and complex project doesn’t end here. As part of our effort to set new standards with each project, we are pleased to announce that KNPC will be one of the first companies in Gulf region with Electronic Work Permit implementation inside Maximo Asset Management System.
